Frequently asked questions

What is Risograph Printing?

The Risograph is a stencil duplicator. Think of it as a cross between screen printing and photocopying. The Riso prints one color at a time in bright, vibrant colours. The Risograph machine works by creating a stencil that is automatically wrapped around an ink drum. It then duplicates an impression of the image onto paper by rolling it over the drum and through the machine. It prints one or two layers of colour at a time. The paper needs to be fed through the machine each time to build up each colour layer.

What is Giclée Printing?

Rather than the standard CMYK inkjet cartridges, the printer used to create Giclée prints will typically have 10 ink cartridges. This allows for the largest depth of colour (colour gamut) with the ability to reproduce the finest differences in colour tones and shading. These are pigment inks and designed to maintain their colours for 100 years or more when printed onto compatible high quality cotton stocks paper.

What paper is used?

There are two types of paper used for the prints available Giclée Paper information Features a contoured surface for enhanced colour expression. 'COVID' DOMESTIC SHIPPING DELAYS - (AUSTRALIA)

23 September 2020 INFORMATION FROM AUSTRALIA POST IS AS FOLLOWS: PLEASE SEE THEIR WEBSITE FOR THE MOST UP TO DATE INFO. Our business is adapting to the challenges presented by the pandemic, which means our normal practice of delivery has been impacted. As a result, we’re experiencing substantial delays in our network. These delays are due to: a reduction in air freight capacity and passenger flights (which also carry our parcels) a significant increase in parcels volumes, many of which require manual sorting health and safety requirements in our network (such as social distancing through zoning, and dedicated shift start times to reduce cross-over of workers) We know these delays are frustrating, and we’re doing everything we can to keep delivering as safely and quickly as possible. Victoria destined parcels With the massive demand and current workforce capacity constraints in Victoria, we foresee an additional 3-day delay for all deliveries in Victoria. Express Post delays Our Express Post service is seeing significant delays in delivery. This means that while we continue to prioritise Express Post, and most parcels shipped via this service arrive on time, some could take 5 business days or more to reach their destination. Tracking tool Our tracking tool provides you with the most accurate guidance on estimated delivery dates and advises you of any delays while your parcel is in transit.
