Reworked Cotton Blend Crop Tank Top - S

A reworked cotton blend tank, individually designed and finished by hand in my Melbourne studio. Each piece is transformed through a slow, considered process, with hand-painted details that respond to the garment rather than conceal its history.

As each tank is made individually, variations in the painted finish are an intentional part of the work and ensure no two pieces are exactly alike.

Construction

Reworked cotton blend tank with a soft, lightweight handle and relaxed fit.

Process

The motif is painted by hand using a resist technique. Masking fluid is first applied to define the linework before layers of textile pigment are painted onto the fabric. Once complete, the artwork is heat set and colour fixed to preserve the finish while allowing the garment to be worn and lived in over time.

Care

Cold hand wash or gentle machine wash inside out. Dry in the shade and avoid ironing directly over the painted surface.
